Genre: Science Fantasy, LGBT & WLW RomanceSetting: In the year 2250, a series of interstellar meteorites collided with Earth, unleashing dragon-like creatures who spreads a contagious disease that gradually transforms the DNA of all other animals into dragon-like beings.
Out of the Hunt is set in the year 5002, in a world that has largely been reconstructioned since the apocalypse. The world now consists of a few larger nations that have learned to evade the dragons and their infections.Plot: Akia, Heir to the Americana throne, embarks on a journey to uncover the secrets behind her mother's rise to power and subsequent demise. Along the way, Akia encounters Diana, a cryptic dragon hunter, who joins Akia on her expedition. Out of The Hunt is about Akia and Diana's many adventures as they travel unknown lands trying to unraveling the world's new and old mysteries.
Future of the project
The current and most plausible plan is that I one day have enough time and money to draw the story as a webcomic.

At the age of 28 Ethan is still operating the inn and is often in town helping out the locals with odd jobs.

When Asger was 26 she established a new nomadic clan; Twin Ravens, and assumed the leading role of Pathfinder. She has led her clan closer and closer to the southern borders, pushing at the southerners comfort levels.
At the age of 29 Asger is on a scouting expedition north of the Kemet border.

At the age of 59 Chao is still Empress but there are rumors of a coup brewing.

Later in life Adoa married Hana and later Manuel as well, with whom she had a daughter named Akia. Adoa was 43 years old when she killed her older sister for her crimes against the nation and claimed the throne for herself.
8 years prior to the events of Out of the Hunt, Adoa succumbed to her illness

As a young adult, Hana married Adoa, and later in life, they both wed Manuel, with whom they had their daughter Akia. Hana served as an advisor to the previous King Kyali & King Adoa, as well as the current King Manuel.
At the age of 57, Hana is juggling between her work and preparing Akia for her soon to be role as King.

During her service, she met and took an interest in Princess Adoa. Both Adoa and Hana became interested in Manuel, and a few years later they all married. Soon after, they had Akia together. After Adoa's passing, Manuel became the de facto King until Akia would be crowned King once she turned 20.
At the age of 52 Manuel still serves as the King, as she mentors Akia for her future role as King.

However, at the age of 49, a whistleblower exposed Kyali's secret inhumane scientific experiments. As a result, her sister Adoa executed her for her crimes against humanity.
14 years prior to the events of Out of the Hunt Kyali was murdered by Adoa.

At the age of 87 as her second and final term nears its conclusion the public seems reluctant to see her time come to an end.

Nkeoma served as a counselor in the National Council until she was elected as the First Chancellor of the Council at the age of 42.
At the age of 43 Nkeoma has received reports of nomads being sighted closer than ever to the northern border.

The average life expectancy is much higher; approx. 110 years and people tend to stay "young" for longer

Guns, cars and aircrafts either haven't been rediscovered or are intentionally not used
The average person is very scared of infected people / animals, as they fear being infected themselves
Infected people gets banished to the northern border and are sometimes picked up by the Northern Plains Nomads

- Where can I read this story ?
Nowhere sadly ! At least currently. I'm hoping to make it into a webcomic. It is however just a hobby project so I don't have much time to spend on it.
If you want to support me and this project consider supporting my art or commissioning me ! The main reason I can't spend all my time on this project is because I'm not a fulltime artist.
- Why are all the characters gay ?
Because I'm gay ! The idea started with younger me being tired of all the fictional worlds without a hint of gay people, so I just decided; fuck it everyone is gay in this one ! and I've just kept it since. I also just enjoy focusing on exclusive same-gender attraction in my works. No shade to het or bi people ! I just enjoy making and exploring it.
- Why are there so many characters of color ?
I believe there still is a lack of characters of color in media, and perhaps even more so in fantasy. While I know I'll never be able to explore and express the true emotional toll being a POC with my characters (Because I've not experienced it myself as I'm white), I still believe that the representation can hold some value.On a lighter note; I also just simply enjoy making diverse characters ! It's simply just fun to design characters that aren't carbon copies of myself.
